Prometheus 136 Project Overview
About the 136 Project
Hello, I'm Sophia, the 136 Project Manager at Prometheus.
The 136 Project was launched as a pilot in February 2022 in Cheshire and Merseyside, and has since expanded to cover Liverpool, Cheshire, and Lancashire.
- Objective: The project aims to provide a therapeutic environment for patients brought to A&E or a place of safety under section 136 by the police.
- Staffing: Prometheus assigns an RMN (Registered Mental Health Nurse) and a Health Care Assistant to support patients awaiting assessment in A&E, enabling police resources to be redeployed.

- Patient-Centred Care: Focus on making patients feel safe, heard, and supported.
